The Clarice Lispector Tours are part of the History & Culture Tours series being developed by iMais and The Binder Group on behalf of Pearl Travel Guides. Like Pearl Travel Guides themselves, the tours are designed to appeal to the responsible independent traveller who wants to discover the real Brazil.
Clarice Lispector´s life was as remarkable and distinctive as her writing, and for good reason she is regarded by many as the most important Brazilian female writer of the twentieth century. Her story brings to life many aspects of the recent history of Brazil and gives a rich insight into the culture of the country. It also tells the story of one group of Brazilian immigrants and their influence on its culture.
Portuguese Edition
The tours explain the aspects of Clarice´s life which shaped her personality and influenced her writing. The recent publication of Benjamin Moser´s Biography of Clarice (“Why This World“ (English edition) and “Clarice,” (Portuguese edition), helped greatly in the development of the tours. In addition we have had the help people who were friends of Clarice, and others that are experts in Jewish immigration, local histories, the writings of Clarice etc.
iMais and The Binder Group have applied their combined expertise to develop the tours, train accredited guides, and appoint licensed operators. This ensures the tours are designed and delivered to the highest quality, and that the customers can be confident the tours will be a great experience.
So that you can experience the tour in the way you want, you will be able to select from a number of tour types: Guided Tours, Guided Walking Tours, Audio Tours etc. Each is currently being developed.
